I started getting into fitness at the young age of 16. But, not in the best way. I was limiting my food to 3 small meals a day with zero carbs, doing 45 mins of stairmaster 5x a week, and weighing myself MULTIPLE times a day.
This worked at first - I was losing weight left and right - but shortly after reaching my goal, I started to lose motivation. I was eating more, going to the gym less, and just enjoying life.
Inevitably, I gained all the weight back and then some. I was devastated. But despite how defeating it felt, I continued to repeat that same cycle over and over and over again… until I broke my leg that is.
On my final attempt to lose weight with extreme cardio and low calories, I started to get pain in my femur everytime I ran. The pain progressed overtime and eventually I found out I fractured my femur from all the cardio on low calories…
